The 10 Tantrik Yamas
Yama #9 of the Classical Yogic Tradition
Ārjava & the Oracle: Integrity and Insight through Yoga and the I Ching
A Self-Paced Journey into Inner Alignment, Yogic Ethics, and the Living Dao
Program Description:
What does it mean to live with unwavering integrity? How do we stay centered in a world of constant change? And can ancient wisdom guide us not just in meditation, but in every step of our daily life?
This 90-minute class weaves together the 9th yama of the Tantrik path—Ārjava (inner and outer integrity)—with the timeless guidance of the I Ching, or Book of Changes. Drawing from the Yoga Sūtras, the Netra Tantra, and Daoist philosophy, we explore how to cultivate ārjava as a living practice: one that helps us pierce the knots of self-deception, develop insight, and abide in the still point at the heart of all action.
Highlights of the course include:
-
A rich review of Patañjali’s Yoga Sūtras, Chapters 1 & 2, with reflections from previous satsangas
-
A deep dive into ārjava as a Tantrik virtue: its role in ethical development, mindfulness, and yogic maturity
-
An introduction to the I Ching as an oracular system rooted in the balance of receptive and active forces (yin-yang)
-
A step-by-step tutorial in how to build, read, and interpret hexagrams through a yogic lens
-
Practical insights into aligning the oracle’s wisdom with your personal path of integrity and spiritual authenticity
Rooted in traditional scripture yet fully alive to modern questions, this class invites you to reclaim the wisdom of inner alignment—where thought, speech, and action meet in truth, and where the guidance of the oracle can mirror back the dharma of your own unfolding life.
Perfect for seekers, yogic practitioners, or anyone longing to live more authentically, this course offers not just knowledge but a practice—a path to walk.
