The 10 Tantrik Yamas
Yama #4 of the Classical Yogic Tradition
Brahmacharya & the Fire of Divine Alignment
The Art of Kundalini, Sacred Union & Spiritual Self-Mastery
There is no other divine fire able to consume the whole of duality than Kuṇḍalinī.
Welcome Back to the Living Path of Yoga
If you’re just joining us, I invite you to visit the Program Library to explore the first three Yamas in this classical Tantrik-Yogic series:
-
Ahimsa – The Courage to Feel
-
Satya – Truth Beyond Narrative
-
Asteya – The Inner Wealth of Enoughness
Each one builds on the last, unfolding a tapestry of practice rooted in presence, alignment, and sacred remembrance. Now, we turn to the fourth: Brahmacharya, perhaps the most misinterpreted of all.
The Meaning of Brahmacharya
In common language, Brahmacharya is often reduced to celibacy. But the classical tradition teaches something far more subtle and luminous.
Brahmacharya means “moving in Brahman”—to walk in conscious union with the Divine. It is the inner art of alignment, where each action, impulse, and desire is seen, honored, and then returned to Source.
This is not the path of suppression.
This is the path of redirection.
A refinement of energy. A devotion to the Divine current that animates your being.
In this view, Brahmacharya is not the renunciation of desire, but the recognition of its source as Shakti—the living energy of Love. This is the awakened fire of Kundalini, the great Power of God rising up through your being as clarity, as will, as conscious creation.
The Fire of Union
On the ground of being, Source becomes Force through a spontaneous upwelling of Consciousness called Love, then expresses itself as Energetic Impulse. The birth of Shakti—Willfully, Knowingly, and Actively.
To walk in Brahmacharya is to awaken this living current within you.
To enter sacred relationship with your own life force.
To live from union rather than fragmentation.
To become a vessel through which the Divine plays, creates, and loves freely.
It is the ultimate alignment practice: body, mind, emotion, and subtle energy all surrendered—not as submission, but as sovereignty in the sacred.

A Life-Defining Engagement with Classical Wisdom
This is more than a lecture. This is a rite of return.
To truth. To presence. To the integrity of your own sacred longing.
Together we’ll explore how Brahmacharya becomes a living practice that honors the full spectrum of human experience—without repression, without indulgence—guided always by the flame of awakened discernment.
You’ll discover the tools, the teachings, and the inner postures that allow you to live in union with the Divine—not just in silence or on the mat, but in conversation, in conflict, in creative fire, in loving relationship.
Join me for this fourth satsang as we explore Brahmacharya—an essential key to energetic mastery, sacred autonomy, and the deeper unfolding of the awakened life.

This was the first one of these I was able to attend live. It’s very cool that there was time to ask some questions at the end.
Also, the content of this one, in particular, felt very pointed to me and relevant to my development.
Having access to the recording has been particularly helpful in integrating the teachings.

Such a great and informative satsanga. Brahmacharya is my new favourite word. I loved the meditation on reality. I feel like I’m making so much progress in my life since engaging with these gatherings, and learning more about the wisdom traditions. I feel so much stronger, with so much more clarity and balance in my life. Shifting perspectives, seeing reality more easily and detaching from old story lines, I’m able to apply these teachings into my everyday life. I feel more present, able to come to center, less prone to overattachment, and more able to move about freely in my life. I really do feel an alignment being created! And this is having a fantastic effect on my spiritual practices overall. Life’s good and my mind is so much more at peace now, even faced with the dramas!
Feeling very blessed. Thank you David Fox
