The Secret Teachings of the Mystical Kabbalah Will Refine Your Spiritual Practice!

The Art and Practice of Non-Stealing

Asteya

Yama #3 of the Classical Yogic Tradition

This class explores Asteya, or The Art of Non-Stealing and delves deep into the profound wisdom of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, correlating the Indian wisdom teachings with the ancient mysticism of the Hebrew Kabbalah.

What is Asteya?

Asteya goes beyond the mere prohibition of theft; it encompasses the respect for both our own and others’ sacred boundaries. The art of non-stealing teaches us how to elevate ourselves with a radical new perspective on life. In Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Asteya is one of the key ethical principles, encouraging practitioners to cultivate integrity, generosity, and a sense of abundance. This principle teaches us to honor the personal space and life force of ourself, and others, while also recognizing the importance of nurturing our own self-care practices.

Through the lens of Kabbalah, we will explore the 5 key components of the mystery tradition, unveiling the secret of secrets and revealing clearly an integral key to realizing your true nature, learning to abide in freedom, joy and abundance.

Asteya resonates with the idea of balancing give-and-take in our relationships, reminding us that taking energy through communication or manipulation can be just as harmful as material theft. Both Eastern and Western philosophies underscore the significance of respecting oneself and others; when we honor our own boundaries, we enhance our capacity to nourish ourselves and cultivate authentic connections.

Why This Program?

Because words like ‘frequency’, ‘abundance’, ‘spiritual practice’ and ‘service’ should be easily approachable. We were never taught in school, and most likely by our parents, what it means to abide in the recognition of our essence nature. It’s essential to understand the interconnectedness of life, and our own place in the greater scheme. Through this program, I introduce two time-honored wisdom traditions that bust the myths of dogma and introduce you to the wisdom of the sages so that you can apply it to your own life and personal path of joy.

What You’ll Experience:

  • Guided Meditations: Engage in meditative practices designed to help you reflect on your own boundaries and the energy dynamics in your relationships, allowing you to reclaim your life force and cultivate a sense of abundance.
  • Deep Discourse: Rich discussions that explore Asteya’s implications across various wisdom traditions. Discover how the concept manifests in daily life and relationships, and the subtle ways we may unintentionally “steal” energy from others (and ourselves!) through communication and behavior.
  • Scholarly Insights: Benefit from real scholarship that deepens your understanding of Asteya, connecting its principles to broader philosophical discussions about energy regulation, service and elevating the community, self-care and enduring awakening.
